AUDIO VISUAL SERVICES GUIDLINES


Boise Centre is pleased to have Production Services International (PSI) as the preferred audio/visual partner for our customers. PSI is an extension of the Boise Centre’s excellent in-house staff, providing additional, professionally trained technical support for specialized audio, visual, lighting and business equipment. Our relationship will provide all your needs to ensure a successful event of any size. If you choose to utilize another audio/visual company, Boise Centre has strict guidelines that must be adhered to by you and your audio/visual company:
  1. Client will notify the Boise Centre’s Event Manager in writing at least 30-days prior to the start of the event as to who the audio/visual provider will be.
  2. ALL audio/visual production companies, promoters and subcontractors must have a current CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE with a minimum of $1,000,000.00 liability to operate in Boise Centre. A copy must be on file at Boise Centre in the Administration Office.
  3. To help ensure the success of your event, if you choose to utilize an outside audio/visual provider, a Boise Centre or PSI technician will be required to be on site for the duration of your event, including load-in and load-out. Client will be charged $45/per hour for each technician. Any labor needs beyond 10 hours will be billed at prevailing overtime rates. The technician(s) will be available through the duration of your event as necessary. Please contact the Boise Centre Event Manager for these charges at least 7 business days prior to the start of your event.
  4. Any staff of an outside audio/visual company must wear professional business attire and name tags.
  5. The use of pyrotechnics is PROHIBITED. Any use of chemical or dry ice fog machines is at the discretion of Boise Centre.
  6. Any electricity required from 208/240v to operate outside audio visual equipment will be provided at the prevailing rates, as outlined in a separate electrical service contract. See your Event Manager for information.
  7. Storage space for outside audio visual equipment will be the sole responsibility of the client.
  8. Under no circumstances will Boise Centre or PSI be held liable for lost, damaged, stolen or misused equipment obtained from outside audio-visual rental companies.
  9. The utilization of the house sound system can be accessed for $50 per day, per room with a 7 business day advanced notice to your Event Coordinator.
  10. Boise Centre will allow for and provide minimal rigging, hang points, and structural supports. Outside audio/visual companies are NOT permitted to hang ANY equipment from ANY structural elements built into the facility. All rigging equipment needed such as steel cable, span sets, shackles, chain motors, etc. will be provided by Boise Centre. Boise Centre will provide certified riggers for rigging and inspection. Charges at prevailing market rate will be applied for such services.
  11. Required use of scissor lifts or fork lifts will be provided at prevailing market rates and operated by Boise Centre staff.
  12. Boise Centre strongly recommends all audio and visual cables be flown from the ceiling whenever possible.
  13. Audio Visual is subject to 20% service charge. Current state sales tax may apply.
