Second Annual Two-Day Event Benefits Idaho Foodbank

The staff of Boise Centre, Idaho’s premier convention center, has announced plans to conduct its second annual Curb Hunger, a food drive event designed to benefit the Idaho Foodbank on Tuesday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Boise Centre staff will be positioned in two separate, convenient locations for the curbside donations. One drop off location will be located on Front Street and the other along 9th Street (Near the Boise Centre loading docks.) Local residents and local business who wish to donate may drop off donations at either location.

“We want to support our community and especially help those families needing help during the holiday season. Last year Curb Hunger was such a great success gathering donations for Idaho Foodbank, we thought we could increase our donations this year,” said Pat Rice, Executive Director of Boise Centre.

“We are so thankful Boise Centre has been willing to help us again,” said Idaho Foodbank President and CEO, Karen Vauk. “Last year Curb Hunger generated 3,285 pounds of foods which represents approximately 2,566 meals to local families in need.”

In addition to the curbside locations, there will be drop off boxes on the Grove Plaza, and a volunteer in the Concierge Corner will be taking donations.
